The KVBA/OSHA Partnering Agreement represents a voluntary agreement with the common objective and goal to provide a safe and healthful work environment for employees engaged in construction activities in the Charleston and Kanawha Valley area and to help prevent serious accidents within the industry through increased training and implementation of enhanced safety and health programs. By utilizing the skills and resources of the KVBA, the LEAD program, our member employers and with the assistance of OSHA, it is believed that though this cooperative and voluntary program, hazards and serious injuries can be dramatically reduced and that participants will achieve an injury and illness rate well below the National average for the construction industry.
